What’s On this July School Holidays

July 8, 2025

The 2025 Australian snow season is off to a flying start, with early storms already stacking up a solid base across the resort… just in time for what’s set to be a very memorable School Holidays. Even better, fresh snowfall is forecast over the coming days, promising deep turns, snowy village scenes, and classic alpine experiences. Whether you’re planning a family trip or a snowy weekend escape, there’s something for everyone.

Every Tuesday night (weather permitting) from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, the Village Bowl (next to Eagle Chairlift) hosts Twilight Tuesdays with fire pits, marshmallows, games and more! Making it the ultimate spot for families to soak up the atmosphere. For more family fun, the Toboggan Slope Magic Carpet is running from Wednesday to Sunday during the holidays, 10am to 4pm at Windy Corner. It’s the perfect activity for little kids and big kids alike. Book online now!

For a full-day outing, explore the resort’s extensive network of groomed cross-country trails and soak up the alpine scenery at your own pace. If it’s your first time, we recommend talking the Aqueduct trail out to Rocky Valley Lake. The trailside lake views cannot be understated!

Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy an ever-growing mix of terrain across the mountain. Whether you’re just starting out or fine-tuning your turns, lessons and ride programs are available for all skill levels at the Falls Creek Ski School. If you’re ready to try some new equipment, drop into Yogi’s Ski and Snowboard Hire or Snowrider Rentals and test out the latest demo gear on the slopes.

As the sun sets, the action continues. Night Skiing and Boarding lights up Wombat’s Ramble every Wednesday and Saturday evening from 6pm to 8:45pm. This is Australia’s longest green run, stretching from Cloud 9 to Slalom Plaza. Then on Thursdays, starting July 3, wrap up the day with the weekly Fireworks Fiesta. Head to the Village Bowl and find a spot near Frying Pan Inn or Lakeside Lodge to watch the sky light up from 7pm.

When it’s time to wind down, Falls Creek’s après scene has something for every taste. On Tuesdays, head to Someplace Else for Cheeseburger Chewsday, where $25 gets you a burger, fries, and a pint. Stay for $1 wings and laid-back mountain vibes all night long. Or dive into a next-level alpine brunch at Sorella Falls Creek, featuring their Bottomless Brunch with Espresso Martinis, Bloody Marys, and bubbles.
