Light the Way to Falls Creek

This Winter, Falls Creek Resort Management are excited to be presenting a season-long Festival of Light.

In conjunction with Falls Creek’s 75th anniversary of when the first lodge was built in the Village, the Festival of Light is a series of spectacular installations across Falls Creek’s famous alpine village, creating a variety of features for Falls Creek visitors to explore. After two difficult snow seasons for the mountain, these installations will light the way for visitors returning to the snow!

Falls Creek visitors can make their own way around the village, seeking out the six locations and stumbling upon some incredible activations, or follow the dedicated Festival of Light map. As light installations progress through the season, the trail will begin with a beautiful light sculpture in Slalom Plaza (it’s due to arrive any day now), paying homage to Falls Creek’s rich 75-year history, and winds its way through the village past an interactive staircase all the way up to the Village Bowl where, on Thursday nights, the trail concludes with Falls Creek’s famous Fireworks Fiesta! Or, on Wednesday and Saturday nights, visitors can begin their journey with some laps of Wombat’s Ramble as part of Falls Creek’s famous Night Skiing, before exploring the different locations on their way back to their lodge! All the more reason to stay a few nights in the Falls Creek Village.

Falls Creek’s Festival of Light is officially launching today and will run all season until Sunday, October 2nd. You can find out more about the Festival of Light here.  The Map can be found here. And we have a special playlist to listen to as you journey through the village and it can be found here.
