Seriously Snowy Day and Fun This Season

We woke up in the resort this morning, very excited to see that 22cm of snow had fallen overnight. And it’s still pukin’ with plenty more on the way. What a way to end Autumn and welcome Winter, and with opening weekend just around the corner, the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

The whole resort is ready to welcome visitors and share the snowy slopes. We have plenty of activities to keep everyone stoked on mountain life. From skiing and snowboarding (of course!), to snow play and a village full of epic hot chocolates, it will be impossible to pick your favourite (but it’s worth trying them all to see if you can). Plus sliding down the hill at the toboggan or the tubing park, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing around our world-class trails.

For the more adventurous (and those with legs of steel) we have Falls Creek Guides to take you places you never knew existed and treat you with a hot picnic lunch. If you’re not keen on getting up mountains under your own steam, hitch a ride with Backcountry Tours to find the steepest and freshest runs, this side of Feathertop. Or if you wish to go up and down powered by snowmo, then jump on a Falls Creek Snowmobile Tour to see the highlights of our beautiful resort and surrounds. And to really give those legs a rest but still cover some ground, Alpine Helicopters is your choice for adventure.

Falls Creek is known for its exceptional dining and bar experiences, and this season won’t let you down with all our amazing operators rearing to go, plus a few newbies like KasaBar (we’ve been hanging for a ramen and izakaya bar for our village), plus St Falls Resort has taken over the old QT giving us 1550 Cafe and Restaurant to fill our hungry bellies and coffee requirements, and Powder Keg to quench that end-of-the-day thirst.

But wait, there’s more (of course!). We have events galore this season starting with opening weekend festivities (We’ve got more details about that right here). Twilight Tuesdays in the Village Bowl for some squishy marshmallow toasting and a good old chat with Pete the Dragon (or though it can often feel a little one-sided with him), Fireworks Fiesta on a Thursday for some flashy business in the sky, and night skiing two nights a week (when conditions allow). The Kangaroo Hoppet is happening on-snow this year!! So start building up that lean muscle to get into those tights and score some brownie points (also, so you can eat all the brownies after at Windy Corner Cafe).

But we’ve still got one majorly exciting event we’ve been working on. It will be free and will be on all season. But we’re going to save it for later. Can you guess what enlightening event this could be???
