Reopening Bogong High Plains at 1pm
Following a precautionary closure by Major Roads Projects Victoria (MRPV), Bogong High Plains Road has now reopened to all vehicles in both directions between Mount Beauty and Falls Creek at 1pm today (Monday 8th January).
The decision to close the road closed was made in coordination with emergency services and the Bureau of Meteorology, with public safety at the forefront. They will continue to monitor the forecasted rainfall and crews will continue to monitor the landslip site during this weather event to ensure ongoing public safety for vehicles passing the site.
The best way to stay up to date with possible future closures is to subscribe to receive SMS updates by texting BOGONG to 0499 073 073.
For any questions you have about the closure please contact Major Road Projects Victoria on 1800 105 105 or email [email protected], or alternatively visit their website Bogong High Plains Road Landslip – Victoria’s Big Build.
