Public Transport options are available to get visitors most of the way to Falls Creek via the Victorian and New South Wales regional rail services

Public rail transport can be a convenient and cost-effective way of traveling most of the way to the snow. In addition to being out of the driver's seat, you have the freedom to roam around the carriage to stretch your legs or utilise facilities like on-board toilets and dining services* (*subject to individual service).

The rail line between Melbourne and Sydney passes through both regional hubs of Albury and Wangaratta. V/Line and NSW TrainLink services each pass through these several times a day, so there is some flexibility to coordinate with connecting transport for the remaining journey.

Luggage allowances work much in the same way as air travel (usually 2 x pieces plus hand luggage) and skis and snowboards are permitted* in checked luggage (*check with service provider).

From Albury or Wangaratta you can connect with a scheduled Coach Service, book a Private Transfer or hire a rental car. Links to providers of these services are to the right.
