Over the weekend of March 6th and 7th, more than 1800 athletes will be testing their cycling skills and lung capacity in the annual Peaks Challenge at Falls Creek.

The route consists of a 235km road cycling loop starting at Falls Creek and riding up Tawonga Gap, Mount Hotham and through Omeo before heading up the back of Falls Creek, which includes climbing and descending more than 4,500 vertical meters. The Junior Peaks race will be taking place on the Sunday, along with the new for 2021 "harder than it looks" 100km loop.

What's On at Falls Creek during Peaks Challenge Weekend

Falls Creek has you covered this weekend with a stack of activities, bars and restaurants. Looking for a 6am coffee on race day morning? Check out The Pass right near the starting line for a quick caffeine fix. Feeling a little sore after the ride? Astra Spa has a variety of massage packages available, including a myotherapist with international experience.

Over the weekend there will also be the 'Event Festival' area setup, which will have everything a cyclist could dream of. The Bicycle Network Marquee will be your spot for all the Peak event info, including live updates on where your friends and family are on course! The Falls Creek Marquee will also be right there, with plenty of fun activities to do throughout the weekend, and information about the resort.

With capacity limits and lots of hungry athletes, we highly suggest pre-booking at restaurants to avoid disappointment. For a full list of what restaurants will be open over the Peaks weekend, and for more information about what's on at Falls Creek, see the links below:
