Medical Centre

Falls Creek operates a dedicated medical centre during the winter season for general practice consultations and emergency medical services.

The Falls Creek Medical Centre is located on the Bogong High Plains Rd, close to the bottom of the Gully Chairlift. You can contact the centre by calling (03) 5758 3238.

The Medical centre is staffed by experienced doctors for general practice consultations and snow sports injuries. X-ray facilities are also available. Patients are seen in order of arrival and medical priority so appointments are not made.

Operating Hours

The Medical Centre is open every day during the snow season for GP consultations between 10am - 12:30pm and 2pm - 4:45pm. During Summer the medical centre is not staffed and the phone will be diverted to Mt Beauty Medical Centre. Appointments are available year round in Mt Beauty by calling (03) 5754 3400.

After Hours Care

During winter a doctor is available at all times for urgent problems. All after hours phone calls are directed to a mobile number; be prepared to write down instructions. An ambulance is available on the mountain (ambulance insurance is recommended for all visitors and mountain staff).

Coronavirus (COVID19) Testing Clinic

Falls Creek Resort Management and Alpine Health have established a coronavirus (COVID-19) Testing Clinic at the Reservation Centre in the Gully Building. This is next to the Falls Creek Medical Centre at the bottom of the Gully Chair.

The coronavirus (COVID19) Testing Clinic is to ensure that we can test anyone in the resort for the coronavirus (COVID19) disease. However, there are strict protocols to access this service.

  • Referral to the coronavirus (COVID19) Testing Clinic will be through the Falls Creek Medical Centre.
  • The coronavirus (COVID19) Testing Clinic is not a walk-up facility.
  • You must be referred by the Falls Creek Medical Centre.

Ski Patrol

Falls Creek's Ski Patrol are the first people on the slopes each morning and the last off the hill at the end of the day. It’s their job to monitor mountain safety and ensure your alpine experience is as safe as possible.

All Falls Creek Ski Patrollers are trained professionals and are qualified to deal with any emergency that may arise. There are inherent dangers involved with skiing and snowboarding and Ski Patrol are your best friend should you find yourself in need of assistance.

Look out for Falls Creek's Ski Patrollers in their distinctive red and white jackets as you make your way around the skifields. They are never far away

Getting Help From Ski Patrol

If you are in need of Ski Patrol;

  1. Call 5758 3502 - this will connect you to the emergency Patrol dispatch hotline
  2. Ask a lift attendant to radio for Ski Patrol - there will be an attendant at the top and bottom of each operating lift
  3. You can also head to Ski Patrol base - this is located at the top of the Monkey Bar Poma (inbetween Cloud 9 and Scotts Chair)

If there is a person involved in an accident and/or with a suspected injury on the slopes, take a pair of skis and create a cross several metres uphill of the injured person. If there are only snowboards on hand you should lay these upside down uphill of the person. This will assist Ski Patrol in locating you and alert other skiers and snowboarders to keep clear of the injured person.

Pharmacy Services
