Howmans Gap Alpine Centre is a group accommodation/ program venue (camp), located 4km from Falls Creek Resort and 27km from Mount Beauty. Operating year round the camp delivers outdoor education programs to primary and secondary schools, community and sporting groups, family, cultural and disability groups. It also offers independent travellers and families accommodation during the winter snow season (June to September) and special events.
Employment Status: Casual (38hrs per week) Mid-June to end of August 2019. 4 days on, 3 days off. Accommodation provided.
Classification: SS6 ($30.92per hr)
Position Purpose: The Howmans Gap Catering Coordinator (Chef) is critical to the high expectation of our guests that food will be tasty, healthy and fresh. The Catering Coordinator is a critical and regular interface between guests and the organisation. Additionally great care must be taken to ensure food hygiene is an absolute priority including; robust systems, regulated cleaning, strong practices for allergy management and high standards for kitchen staff.
