These are the answers to some common questions around using the Accommodation Transfer Service

DO I NEED TO USE THE A.T.S?

Depending on where you are staying in the village you may want to consider using the Accommodation Transfer service. It all depends on how accessible your accommodation is and what you need to transport. Falls Creek village is quite easy to get around via our fast-track walkways but there are some steep roads and stairs that may make things difficult if you have heavy luggage, small children or elderly people with you.

In general, properties higher up in the village (eg: Village Bowl, Schuss Street and Parallel Street) are more likely to need ATS support, whilst those closer to the Bogong High Plains Road are easier to walk your luggage in. Some properties are not serviced by ATS as they are easily accessed with either drive-up reception or a short walk from the Bogong High Plains Road. These properties include:

  • QT Falls Creek
  • Pretty Valley Lodge
  • Falls Creek Country Club
  • Les Chalets
  • Rocky Valley Flats
  • High Plains Apartments
  • Chorki Lodge
  • Alpine Woodsmoke.

Some properties include a free transport service as part of their rates so make sure you check before booking your ATS shuttle. If you are unsure, the best advice is to ask whether you need ATS when booking your accommodation, or with the ATS direct.

 

 

HOW DO I USE IT

  1. Head for the Accommodation Transfer Terminal - it is located on the Bogong High Plains Road as you drive into the resort with a large sign reading "Welcome to Falls Creek.”
  2. Reverse park into a space out front and unload your gear as directed onto a provided luggage trolley. An attendant will help you to a carpark once unloaded and return you to the Terminal via free shuttle.
  3. Head to the ticket office to purchase a ticket and book in your return pick-up time.
  4. Line up down the ramp to be allocated onto a vehicle.

HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I TAKE?

A standard luggage allowance includes 2 pieces of luggage, 1 pair of skis or snow board (with boots and bindings) and 1 piece of hand luggage per person.

Excess luggage is charged at $7.00 per item.

Excess luggage is determined by every piece over the set allowance, we also sell large bags for $5.00 to put all of you extra groceries, bedding or miscellaneous items.

Please note that children under 5 are free however do not get a baggage allowance.

Don't forget Falls Creek has a licensed supermarket, so you can get all your supplies on-mountain. That makes your holiday at Falls just that little bit easier.

CAN I JUST SEND MY LUGGAGE?

You can't send your luggage on its own but you can have just one able person ride with your entire group's luggage. Simply purchase a one way or return ticket and any excess items to your standard allowance will be charged at $7 per item.
