TOBOGGANING

GOOD CHEAP FUN

Who doesn't love some great fun sliding in the snow? Tobogganing is cheap, easy for all and gives the unique thrill of racing down a hill on snow.

Falls Creek features two toboggan slopes - a junior slope in the Village Bowl (open selected dates) and an advanced slope at Windy Corner where there is easy day parking and a free shuttle service from the village.

RENT OR BYO

The slopes are free to access, all you need is an approved toboggan.

Toboggans are able to be rented from Falls Creek Cross Country in Windy Corner, Koki in the Village and Falls Creek Sports in both the Village Bowl and Slalom Plaza at the prices below.

Of course, you can also bring your own as long as it complies with regulations.

TOBOGANNING IS ONLY PERMITTED IN APPROVED AREAS


Under regular conditions approved toboggan areas include allocated slopes at Windy Corner and the Village Bowl. Specific areas may be open or closed subject to weather, snow and specific days of the week. Always look for and obey signage

SNOW TUBE PARK

TIME TO SLIDE

Grab your crew and get ready to slip and slide down the purpose-built snowtube park, complete with carved snow walls and banked corner finish. The Tube Park takes pride of place in the Village Bowl and features its own magic carpet surface lift to take slilders and their tubs back to the top

PRICING & TIMES

The Tube Park is built by our groomers as soon as natural snow conditions allow. From then the park is open daily from 11am to 5:30pm so long as weather and conditions permit. Snow tubing costs $23 for a ½ hour session.

KIDS SNOWMOBILES

Get a truly unique experience this winter with kids snowmobiles in the Village Bowl. Built for kids aged 5 and over, these Polaris 120 snowmobiles are no toys - they are the real deal!

Set up in a safe zone free of pedestrian traffic, kids drive the skidoos by themselves. Of course these machines are built with safety in mind so a top speed of around 15 km/h can give parents peace of mind they won't be able to let out their inner daredevil.

Kids Snowmobiles operate daily from 10am to 3pm in the Village Bowl at $15 for a 10 minute session (subject to snow conditions) on Saturdays and Sundays. Children must be aged 5 or older and weigh less than 50kg. For operating status be sure to see the snow report.

NIGHT SHOW & FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR

Every Thursday in July and August the Village Bowl comes alive with a stunning night show extravaganza. See thrilling displays by synchronised skiers, snowboarders, snowmobiles, snow groomers and more. Pete the Snow Dragon also loves to make an appearance! The action kicks off at 8pm.  FIND OUT MORE >

RIGLET PARK

Introduce little ones to the fun of snowboarding with pull-along snowboards in a purpose-built park. Perfect for kids aged 3-5, the Riglet Park is a great introduction to the sport and loads of fun. FIND OUT MORE >

TWILIGHT TUESDAYS

Join in the fun every Tuesday evening from 3:30pm - 5:30pm in the Village Bowl for Twilight Tuesdays -  2 hours of activities, games and fun specifically for kids and families. Look out for a visit from Pete the Snowdragon!   FIND OUT MORE >

FALLS CREEK MUSEUM

The Falls Creek Museum is a fascinating step back in time to celebrate the rich diversity and history of the resort. The perfect bad-weather activity, head to the Panabode building next to Halleys Comet chair in Slalom Plaza. Entry is free with gold coin donation greatly appreciated. FIND OUT MORE >
