Falls Creek made the well-anticipated announcement today that there will be lifts turning for skiing and snowboarding on the coming Queen's Birthday Weekend celebrations. Confirmed today was the news that Falls Express, Towers and Mousetrap will all be in operation from 9:00am on Saturday June 6th - the offical opening mark of the 2015 snow season.
With natural snowfalls having been boosted by the resort's state of the art snowmaking the resort has been able to enable skiing and snowboarding on the popular Main Street and Wombats Ramble runs plus beginner ski school areas of Tom Thumb and Pete's Train. This importantly opens up intermediate blue terrain and a wider level of skier ability. Several trails in Falls Creek's expansive cross country ski network are also groomed and ready for the weekend.
Adding to the spirit of the weekend, Falls Creek's Queen's Birthday Festival will be in full swing with a range of activities and attractions including beer & wine tasting, live music, kids activities, fire pits and more. It will all be capped off with a huge fireworks show in the Village Bowl Saturday Night!
