Falls Creek is set to impress with renovations, upgrades and shiny new machinery to show off in season 2015.
There has been plenty of development go on around Falls Creek over the summer months. barely a week has gone by without utes and tradie vehicles lining streets of the village and now that the season has begun, operators are ready to show off the fruits of their trouble. Diana Lodge is featuring an entire renovation as a result of their successful TQUAL funding application and Astra lodge and restaurant is looking stunning with its recent refurbishment. Huski Cafe is under new ownership and is offering all day dining plus the ATS terminal has had a new fit-out to improve the functionality and atmosphere for visitors using the oversnow transport service. Rapunzels gift store is also open for business in the shopfront alongside Foodworks in Slalom Plaza.
The first thing you will notice when driving to Falls Creek is that we have a newly installed series of signs to welcome and direct v isitors as they enter the resort. This project will go further beyond its current works to incorporate all-inclusive ocverage of the entire cross country trail network plus mountain bike trail network in Summer. You will also notice a new extension to the village direct staircase (leading behind the ATS terminal) to now connect all the way from the Bogong High Plains Road up to the top of the village st Schuss St.
Finally, the big toys for boys are out on display with the addtition of a brand new Prinoth BR350 groomer to add to the cross country grooming fleet. This will join the other new plant addition of a Schmidt Stratos B30 de-icer which will provide a clearer and safer drive on the roads up to and within Falls Creek.
