Falls Creek is Australia's newest Alpine Mountain Bike Park, the "feather in the cap" of North East Victoria's booming mountain bike landscape. Built in a 4 stage process, 2016 sees the opening of the final and largest stage of trails to complete a 40km+ network of machine-built singletrack of mostly blue and green difficulty.
Falls Creek trails have a distinct XC slant - fun trails with loads of flow and variation. No matter where you end up all trails start and finish in the resort so there is a matched climb of switchbacks to bring you uphill to where you started. Easy access for beginners, hectic thrills for the experienced, good coffee, loads of accommodation and a shuttle service each and every weekend. This is a true village park.
The Alpine National Park around Falls Creek offers some spectacular back-country, Fire Trail & Off-Road rides. For a change of pace it is well worth the move for some time off the single track to check out some more of the landscape. Wallaces Heritage Trail is a must for any visit & along with the Mt McKay loop is one of Falls Creek's 2 inclusions in the Dirty Dozen 12 best North East Victoria rides. Ride these first and then check out more to other peaks & areas of the Bogong High Plains.
