Falls Creek Snowsports School is offering a women’s only ski program. Enjoy the support of female instructors, designed to give women the chance to improve their skills and overcome their fears in a dynamic, yet comfortable environment.
Why not get a group of your friends to share the experience with you.
Each session has up to six hours of instruction daily, incorporating video tape analysis and off-slope seminars. The program is open to all level skiers with the emphasis on small groups. It involves individual assessment, discussions on achieving goals, overcoming fears and having a lot of fun at the same time.

Skiing, Grading & Development...
|
Level 1 – First Lesson – Never Skied Before- We will learn balance in motion and controlling our speed using a snowplough on gentle terrain.
Level 2 – Second Lesson – Snowplough Stop – 2nd Day Skiing – We can make a straight snowplough and stop. We will learn how to link snowplough turns.
Level 3 – Linked Snowplough turns to Basic Christie – 3-10 Days Skiing- We can make linked snowplough turns on green runs like Wombats Ramble. We will learn how to match skis at the end of our turns and venture on to more difficult terrain.
Level 4 – Stem Christie Turns – 10 to 20 days skiing – We can make Stem Christie turns on blue runs like highway 83 & Main Street. We will learn how to ski parallel.
Level 5 – Parallel Turns – 20 to 30 days skiing – We can make parallel turns using our poles on blue runs and we can ski comfortably on groomed black runs. We will learn a variety of parallel turns.
Level 6 – Carved Turns – 30+ days skiing – We can make strong parallel turns and can ski black terrain in all snow conditions. We will work on skill development, tactics, and versatility at a high level.
Level 7 – Expert Skiers – We can confidently ski the race course, bumps and all terrain in any snow conditions. We will be fine tuning skills at the highest level.
