The Village Bowl

Always popular with the locals and guests alike is the iconic Village Bowl.

The traditional hub of the resort, this is the site of the historical first ski lift at Falls Creek and is renowned for its nightspots, grassy hills and panoramic views. There is always something going on in the Bowl - be it the annual Easter Festival, Australia Day BBQ or Mile High Tennis Tournament. During peak holiday periods, the Summit Lift is in operation - a great way to get a bird's eye view of the village and surrounds.

What to Do:

  • Max's Restaurant - open 7 days
  • Easter Festival - April 6-9 with Easter activities, competitions and games
  • Summit Chairlift - operating 27th Dec to Jan 1st and during Easter
  • Tennis Courts - open 7 days for $10/hour with free racquets & balls
  • Mile High Tennis Tournament - 18th Feb on the Village Bowl courts
  • Australia Day - informal BBQ in the Bowl on Jan 26th
  • Aqueduct & walking trail access
  • Falls Creek Hotel - open selected events

How do I get there?

Once you enter the village, drive along Bogong High Plains Rd and turn right onto Falls Creek Rd (alongside the Accommodation Transfer building). Follow this to the Village Bowl and parking at the end.
