 Stroll around the picturesque alpine village of Falls Creek and taste wine from 15 different wineries and breweries. On arrival you may purchase a branded tasting glass for $5, grab yourself a program and either stroll or use the shuttle bus to go from venue to venue listening to the live music, tasting wine and enjoying the art displays and the delicious food on offer.

 The musicians include Kate Vigo, Lia Avene, JAM, Col Wilson, Shane Johnson and Bronwyn Spargo. There will also be a dj set from DJ Panda on the cafe max sun deck in the late afternoon featuring the best buddah bar beats.
You will be able to look at and purchase pieces of art that will be on display in the venues and at the market place.
Kate Vigo has been the fast rising vocalist, and highest album selling performer of the 2008 Melbourne Jazz Fringe Festival only came onto the scene in earnest some five years ago on the open stage of the renowned Dizzy’s Jazz Club.
Vigo, runner up in the 2007 Independent Music Awards (and the only Australian nominated for the singer/songwriter category), led the late Australian music icon Clifford Hocking to remark: ‘Kate’s singing bowled me over in the same way that Kate Ceberano’s did when I first heard her …she is a remarkable talent.’

Activities for the Whole Family...

For the young ones we will have kids club running, as well as a free movie at the outdoor cinema on Friday night and the Country Club will run a kids movie on Saturday night to entertain the children while the parents dine in their restaurant alongside.
There is a whole range of activities available over the festival including chair lift rides, giant swing, champagne sunset tours, guided walks to name but a few.
On Sunday there will be a market place outside of Gateway cafe where you can purchase the fabulous wines that you tasted on Saturday, but didn’t want to carry for the rest of the day, or that painting you saw and loved, the CFA will be providing a sausage sizzle or you can enjoy a coffee and culinary delights next door in Gateway Cafe.

Mitch Smith has been cooking 16 years, worked in many award winning restaurants and in recent years opened his own restaurant in Mt Beauty, Kiewa Valley, Recline. Most recently Recline was given accolades in the age good food guide. Other critics agree this little restaurant is a must if visiting Mt Beauty with articles in Alpine Style and Delicious. Mitch began his cooking career in Mt Buller and Williamstown.
