Another 22cm of Fresh Powder Snow in the Last 48 Hours

Monday's ferocious winds had an upside - a blanket of fresh snow!  This morning the alpine resort has a mid-winter look and a chilly temperature of minus 6.0 degrees that brought with it 19cm of fluffy fresh new snow for Tuesday and a further 3cm for Wednesday, taking the natural snow base to 125cm.

Dry, fluffy powder is in abundance for skiers and boarders who are lucky enough to be at Falls Creek today.  With about two weeks to go the overnight snowfalls has ensured the remaining days of the 2008 winter season at Victoria's largest alpine resort will be most enjoyable.  

Virtually no lift queues, very affordable accommodation and lower-priced ski lift passes, ski lessons and ski equipment hire are an attractive combination. 

 If you have an opportunity to take a couple of days off now would be a good time head for the snow-covered slopes of Falls Creek. Remember there isn't too many days left before the ski lifts are closed until next winter.
