Head to Falls Creek this August and experience sled dog racing in the heart of the Alpine Village - under lights and the night sky. The Sled Dog Classic hosts two exhilarating night races for: 2, 3, 4 and 6 dog teams. Heats commence on Friday night, followed by the huge night of finals on Saturday!
This unique event will be showcasing Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Alaskan Huskies, various Hounds, and their mushers competing against each other and the elements. A great spectator sport, the course takes teams through the heart of the village and offers a great range of food and beverage vantage points.
Don’t miss your chance to watch some of Australia’s finest mushers and their canine athletes in action, as Falls Creek Alpine Resort lights up for this night spectacular.

There will be plenty of vantage points throughout the village for guests to spectate and cheer as the teams race through this leg of the course under the village lights.
The start and finish lines will be located in Slalom Plaza (near Falls Creek Express chair) offering prime viewing and atmosphere as the dogs race out and return to the cheering crowd.
