NOW OPEN - Australia's highest spine ramp in the Village Bowl at Falls Creek!!

 A new skate ramp is the latest tourist attraction at Falls Creek and was officially opened on January 19, 2008 by the Minister for Tourism and Major Events, Tim Holding.
The skate ramp was funded by a community development grant of $20,000 from the Victorian Government’s $4 million bushfire recovery program.
“The opening of the new skate ramp, which coincides with the Taste of Falls Creek Festival, is a true celebration of local community spirit,” Mr Holding said.
“It will be a year round attraction that will drive additional guests throughout the year and further enhance Falls Creek’s reputation as a leading Australian all-season alpine resort.
“The skate ramp - which was relocated and refurbished from Harrietville to the Village Bowl - will also bring benefits to the local community by providing a positive activity for young people to enjoy.
Mr Holding said Falls Creek and the other alpine resorts across Victoria were developing a strong reputation for their attractions to visitors during the warmer months of the year.

“Falls Creek Resort Management has worked extremely hard to build the resorts profile in Victoria and the development of the new skate park and the many other attractions and festivals will only enhance visitation to the region.”
Falls Creek Resort Management Chief Executive, Ross Passalaqua said the skate ramp project was the result of significant input from the local community.
“The project was supported by a cross section of the community including the Falls Creek Chamber of Commerce, Falls Creek Ski Lifts, and a host of other local businesses and dedicated individuals from the region, in addition to Falls Creek Resort Management,” he said.
