Throughout each winter season at Falls Creek there's a swag of venues offering live entertainment to suit all tastes. 19 year-old Julia Henning from Adelaide has been booked to sing/perform in the lounge at Attunga Lodge three nights a week between 6-9pm. Henning's musical ability is well-known in her home, having delivered some stunning live performances at numerous venues. One reviewer said:" In the tradition of singers such as K D Lang and Eva Cassidy, Henning lets her emotions flow through her music. It seems that she has chosen songs in her repertoire that allow her to express her feelings. This is an amazingly mature performance from a 19-year-old artiste." Another accomplished entertainer, Melbourne-based Bobbie Valentine has been booked by the Falls Creek Hotel to play at its twice-weekly Harvey Hour. Valentine is a living legend around Falls Creek and he'll get a warm reception when he performs (with his daughter) this winter. A laid-back bunch of musos play in the Red Room at the Man Hotel which is well received by the locals who enjoy the piano player and live acoustic music. The resort's younger guests will be encouraged to check­out The Man's bottom bar where they'll be entertained by more appropriate music. At tomdickandharry's in the Quay West Resort & Spa complex there will be regular apres-style music. Melbourne-based entertainer Andrew McUtchen, who'll play covers and his original material, is in residence five nights a week. Astra Lodge and Vodka Bar, is also known for live entertainment which perform in the lounge on a regular basis throughout winter. High profile Melbourne-based musician LIOR will return (with a quartet) after two successful sold out gigs last winter. He'll perform on Tuesday evening 24th August. Oishii Go Asian-theme restaurant and bar will offer live acoustic entertainment three nights a week. One set between 6-7pm then two additional sets between 9-10pm and 11-12pm.
