Opening weekend treat for foodies regardless of how much snow has fallen |
| For the official opening weekend (12-14 June) of the snow season at Falls Creek the management of Altezza 1570 apartments will include a mouth-watering platter of local produce for its guests on Saturday night. The tariff for the long weekend is from $60 per person per night based on six sharing one of the Altezza 1570 two bedroom six share, self-contained well-appointed apartments. Long weekend guests will be offered the platter which will include smoked trout, potted rabbit, Milawa cheeses, marinated olives, crudities and homemade breads. And for dessert Sticky Fig puddings, homemade vanilla bean ice-cream and citrus caramel sauce. Trackers Mountain Lodge has also created a weekend special aimed at folks who appreciate good food and fine wine. For two nights the cost is $275 per person including Italian-style wines from the King Valley winery Ciavarella Oxley Estate and an Italian style evening meal on Saturday and Sunday night.
