$30 Adult Lift Passes - Final Weekend Fun Sep 22, 2008
Carnival Weekend is the final weekend of this winter and will be a celebration of a sensational snow season. Ski lift tickets are reduced to $45 (child $25) on Saturday and Sunday. However, if guests are wearing their favourite football team strip or any other fancy dress, they’ll only pay $30 adult (child $15) for a ski lift ticket.

22cm of Fresh Powder Snow in the Last Week Sep 17, 2008
Monday's ferocious winds had an upside - a blanket of fresh snow!

This morning the alpine resort has a mid-winter look and a chilly
temperature of minus 6.0 degrees that brought with it 19cm of fluffy fresh new snow for Tuesday and a further 3cm for Wednesday, taking the natural snow base to 125cm.

Young French Canadian Wins 28-Stair Contest Aug 28, 2008
Last night 18-year old French Canadian rider Charles Reid nailed it under lights in the ‘Village Bowl’ at Falls Creek. Reid and some of the best snowboarders from around the globe competed in an exciting street rail snowboard contest on a purpose built 28-stair feature.

The third Falls Creek Telemark Festival was held in superb snow conditions. The event is not about who was the fastest down the respective race courses, but about having fun and a golden opportunity to check out the latest boots and telemark skis which are now much ‘fatter’ and quite similar to alpine skis.

Cold Overnight Temps Equal Great Snow Jul 23, 2008
The minimum temperature overnight was a very cool minus 6.7C. The upside is the snow is extremely dry and enjoyable for both skiers and boarders.

Cross Country High Plains Tour Jul 15, 2008
Seventy-two skiers participated in the High Plains Tour last Saturday on a new 5km course. Sponsored by Wodonga-based outdoor specialist Snowgum, this skating event was the first opportunity for many of our established (and up and coming) cross country skiers to test themselves and ascertain their current level of fitness.

Tube Park Now Open Jul 14, 2008
Falls Creek's line-up of popular activities for its guests has been complimented by the opening of its family-friendly Snow Tube Park in the Village Bowl. This purpose-built, fun-filled option is amongst a growing number of snow-related activities the alpine resort offers guests of all ages.

Participants spin, bounce, bump and laugh their way downhill on a snow tube. It is great fun for the whole family.

Summit Opens Today to 41cm of Fresh Snow Jul 11, 2008
In the last 24 hours Falls Creek has been blanketed in 41cm of fresh snow. This on top of 14cm Monday and 12cm Tuesday takes the average depth in the Village Bowl to 1 metre and across the resort 90cms. Ruined Castle and Scott's opened Wednesday and today the Summit will open for the first time this season.

This Week's Snow Sports School Programs Jun 28, 2008
Falls Creek Snow Sports School has put together a bunch of fun programs working with the conditions we currently have, allowing guests to have a lesson or two and enjoy their time here to the max. For kids the programs combine lessons, activities, and lunch and are available for half days or full days.

New Snowmaking + New Groomer = More Great Skiing May 23, 2008
Falls Creek Ski Lifts snowmaking projects are on track and complete with 200mm pipe top to bottom on Wombat’s Ramble, Australia’s longest beginner run, and 21 new air-water guns (each costing $20,000) installed. The replacement of the Towers snow making pipe is also complete in readiness for automated guns. These projects have been completed in readiness for a future connection to Falls Creek’s waste-water treatment facility to allow for future recycled water snow production.

NEW Sk8 Ramp Opens at Falls Creek! Jan 21, 2008
A new skate ramp is the latest tourist attraction at Falls Creek and was officially opened recently by the Minister for Tourism and Major Events, Tim Holding. The skate ramp was funded by a community development grant of $20,000 from the Victorian Government’s $4 million bushfire recovery program.
