(Updated Thursday 4 June 2009)

This weekend's official opening of the winter season at Falls Creek will be a celebrity-spotters paradise with numerous well known actors participating in the sixth filmfest@falls known as the 'filmmakers festival'.

Kat Stewart. ŒRoberta Williams¹ - wife of Carl Williams in the smash hit TV series Underbelly, is just one of a stella line up of well known actors including Lisa McCune, Grant Piro and Ben Anderson (Newstopia) who'll join Shaun Micallef for the 'Script in the Raw'read of his new screenplay Teacher Boy, produced by Robyn Kershaw Productions.

Stewart won an Australian Film Institute (AFI) award in 2008 for Best Lead Actress in a Television Drama: Underbelly. And followed up another accolade in 2009 at the TV Week-sponsored Logies winning a Silver Logie for most popular actress for her role in Underbelly.

Catching up with the celebs isn't the only activity planned for a fun-filled weekend. Which will deliver some snow if the respected website (snow-forecast.com) is on the money.
