Huge response to family-friendly Easter activities - Official Home of Falls Creek Alpine Resort
| (Updated Tuesday 6th April 2010) |
| About 10,000 chocolate eggs (provided by Cadbury) were used to entice the resort's younger guests to enter the annual Easter Egg Hunt - which is organised chaos. As always the egg tossing competition was a crowd-pleaser and the outcome of a creative session at the Kids Club was revealed at the judging of the Easter Bonnet contest. The community-run breakfast and Eggstra-ordinary Egg Toss on Easter Sunday raised about $2,500 which is used for projects which benefit the Falls Creek stakeholders (and resort guests). Mountain Bikers were present in big numbers - taking advantage of the Summit Chairlift which transported a huge number of bikes and riders. Walkers also appreciated the 'armchair ride' to the top of the Summit which is an ideal starting point for ambles amongst the alpine flora and fauna. With almost perfect weather it was one of the busiest Easter Holidays ever at the four season alpine resort. Now there is a chill in the air the forthcoming winter season is just around the corner. The Ice Plunge, on the first day of winter, is the next major event at Falls Creek. |
