World Record Attempt On Alpine Resort’s Final Day of Snow Season 2008!

Whilst heavily reduced lift ticket prices and entry to Victoria’s largest alpine resort enticed an enthusiastic number of guests it was the quest to create a world record that had the picturesque resort buzzing.
Throughout the final weekend of this year’s exceptional snow season footy fans were encouraged to show an allegiance to their respective sports team.
AFL fans were the dominant participants and the Falls Creek Hotel was the place to be last Saturday where footy fans watched the rematch of the 1989 premiership classic.
On Sunday, the very last day of the 2008 snow season at Falls Creek, there was a smorgasbord of on-snow activities including the final appearance (for this year) of the resort’s most popular kids personality Pete the Snow Dragon.
There was the usual favourites, face-painting, colouring competitions and Snocce (Bocce on snow) plus special guest DJ Bruce Springski. However, it was the quest to be added to the achievements in the esteemed Guiness Book of Records that was of most interest.
As part of the final day of fun and frivolity at Falls Creek an attempt was made to create a world record - the Longest Conga Line on Snow. The attempt will now be submitted to Guinness World Records for their reviewing.
If nothing else the participants had a great time and a lot of laughs as the line (or lines as it often broke into) meandered down Drovers Dream.
