This internationally significant conservation zone is like no other in the world, a mountainous area within the driest and flattest continent on Earth. It offers stunning alpine landscapes, with much of it covered in a blanket of snow often from around mid June through until October each year, after which time the alpine meadows explode into colours as a variety of alpine wildflowers blossom after the snows have melted away. The valleys are filled with pristine creeks and rivers, flowing through unique townships like Mount Beauty and Falls Creek which serve as an excellent starting point for your Victorian Alps adventure experience.
