The Billy Cart Derby is the ultimate family and community event. Anyone over the age of 5 can compete, others can spectate and all can be involved in the building of the cart.
With time-trial races for all ages and loads of great prizes, this is the perfect day to head up to the hill and take in all that Falls Creek has to offer. The youngsters will be racing on a shortened version of the track and there will be a number of different divisions to ensure that all competitors have a chance at taking out the title of the fastest driver within their division.
After the final presentation the party then kicks off with live music on the Bush Bash stage in Slalom Plaza.

Cart Specifications:
|
- Maximum dimensions 1.2 metres wide x 2 metres long x 1.2 metres high (not including driver height).
- 100mm minimum road clearance.
- The billy cart must have adequate steering mechanism.
- The billy cart must have good working brake - not your foot on the road or the wheel.
- NO dangerous protrusions.
- NO motors, sails, pedals or any other propulsion device.
- Sturdy construction of all billy cart components.
- All billy carts must pass a safety check.
- There must be a minimum of four wheels on each billy cart, wheels not exceeding 400mm in diameter
