Australian Interschools start tomorrow - Official Home of Falls Creek Alpine Resort

The 2009 Subaru Australian Interschools SnowSports Championships begin with Cross Country (Classical & Relay) and Boardercross tomorrow. |
| Division three, four and five, boys and girls, will also participate in the Boardercross on the first day of a very competitive national titles. Snowboard events are scheduled for Wednesday, Mogul competition (on the aptly named Big Dipper) on Thursday, Skier Cross on Friday and the Alpine events on Saturday and Sunday. Falls Creek is the host alpine resort for the 150-plus schools from across Australia who will be represented in virtually every snow sport. Between Wednesday and next Sunday the alpine resort will be awash with young, up and coming athletes, who will seek glory for their respective school and state. About 2,120 entries in seventy separate events over five days will be quite a challenge for everyone involved in running the nationals. Falls Creek has hosted successful national Interschools SnowSports Championships in the past and this year the various events will be held on courses throughout Sun Valley. National Interschool's Opening Ceremony on Thursday in the Village Bow at 6.30pm. The Opening Ceremony includes an exciting night show and spectacular fireworks display. |
