Art, Culture & History - Falls Creek

Here at Falls Creek we aim to develop and nurture art and cultural events that celebrate our unique environmental diversity and cultural heritage. Falls Creek hosts artist camps, various art exhibitions and a short film festival every year.

During March a select group of renown artists gather at Falls Creek to pursue and create great art. The fourth annual Falls Creek Artists’ Camp (in 2008) was organised by Peter Bennetts and David Hugh Thomas, with more than eight artists participating.

The art created during, and inspired from, that weekend make up the works unveiled during our winter exhibition which is opened at the start of each snow season. During the exhibition launch one donated piece of work is also unveiled.

Film Fest @ Falls screens at the start of every winter and celebrates the vibrant energy of Australia's emerging independent filmmakers, showcasing cutting edge works in a short film competition. Set amidst the intimate Alpine environment of Falls Creek and hosted by Falls Creek Resort Management, the Festival provides a casual atmosphere for filmmakers to introduce their work to industry professionals.
