Alpine resorts cuisine to be even more delicious.

Falls Creek's guests can partake of seasonally-driven menus throughout the picture-postcard village with an influx of well-qualified chefs cooking with the freshest and highest quality local produce available.

The alpine resorts cuisine has been recognised with numerous accolades bestowed on establishments such as Summit Ridge and Astra Lodge & Vodka Bar.

For the 2010 winter season those two award-winning restaurants will again produce memorable evening meals but there's some other gun operators joining the wining and dining scene the resort is renowned for.

The Produce Store will offer Apres Tapas from 4-6pm daily. Its new chef, young gun Scott Beattie, has carried out some good gigs in Melbourne and head chef Andy Lacy is returning to the Asian-themed Oishii Go Restaurant and Bar, offering Oishii (Noodle) Boxes to eat in or take away which will once again be a prime item on the menu.

Yet another young, up-and-coming chef, has been enticed to Falls Creek. The owners of Mo¹s Restaurant & Bar (located within Feathertop Lodge) have recruited an apprentice chef of the year in Queensland, Jason Booth, to oversee the high quality meals guests will be offered this winter.

A serious foodie who runs the Sorrento Catering Company, Barry Iddles, has an outstanding reputation for delivering excellent cuisine has taken over the iconic Winterhaven Restaurant and Bar.

This is one of resort community's favourite apres ski spots and the experienced Iddles (a former Falls Creek skier) has promised a warm welcome for everyone, the locals and the resort guests.

Iddles was the chef at Café Alcaston in the late 80s now heads was the Sorrento Catering Company which operates venues at Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club, Royal Brighton Yacht Club, Mt Eliza¹s Ranelagh Club, the exclusive Point Nepean National Park, 333 Collins St, Melbourne and his Rye restaurant Bamboo.
